Chapter 2: "Personia" is very popular at school
 

"Hey, did you hear? Shion lives somewhere in the Kanto region!"

"No way!? Then we just have to visit every house until we find him!"

As I opened the classroom door, I heard some girls talking about something crazy.

Oops. I must’ve accidentally stared at them and got caught.

They insulted me just loud enough for me to hear.

By the way, “Kitaro glasses” is what everyone calls me at school. It’s because I wear thick glasses and my long hair hides my face. Not very creative, huh?

I just hope they don’t actually think I’m a monster or something...

"Hey, you guys! Stop chatting and come help us!"

On the classroom floor, more girls were busy getting ready for the Personia concert.

There were signs that said things like “Shion LOVE!!” and “Show us your face!!” with lots of hearts.

...Even my desk and chair were covered with them.

I guess they just didn’t want to put stuff on the floor, so they used my spot.

I looked around, hoping someone would help me... but of course, no one noticed.

Staying low-key is good and all, but not having any friends in class really sucks sometimes.

Well... it’s not like I didn’t want friends. I just couldn’t make any.

Until then, I’ll waste some time by going to the bathroom.

I walked slowly down the hallway, timing it so I’d come back right on time.

While walking, I glanced into other classrooms and saw the same scene everywhere.

The boys were talking about Personia’s new songs, music videos, and even making cover bands.

Even the quiet girls were writing fan letters.

I peeked at one. It just said “Shion Shion Shion Shion~~” over and over… Okay, that’s kinda scary.

(...Anyway, I’m totally going to scold Suzuki backstage for telling people where I live. Actually, maybe I should make him sing at the next concert instead.)
