The Cool Beautiful Girl Sitting Next to Me That Everyone Envies Is Actually Way Too Le*d in Her Head prologue

Prologue: I’m a telepath, but the cold beauty sitting next to me has thoughts that are way too pink… it’s pure torture

The door opened, and the atmosphere of the classroom changed.

Long, silky hair that shimmered like threads of silk. Pale, flawless legs stretching out from the school’s formal uniform. Sharp eyes as if polished to perfection, yet carrying a sensual charm, only added to her presence—her face so perfect it felt as though God Himself had given her a special exception when creating her.

A girl who could only be described as a 'beautiful girl' stepped in from the hallway.

The once lively classroom was suddenly wrapped in silence. Everyone stared at her, as if holding their breath, their eyes fixed on the girl.

Even though the school year had already been underway for a while, her classmates still weren’t used to the graceful aura that radiated from her.

“Good morning, Rio-chan.”

“Morning, Kagu-chan.”

Responding to her arrival, the girls finally greeted her, though with a slight pause. The beautiful girl called Rio turned her head, her hair swaying gently, and replied briefly:

“Ee.”

…Was that even considered an answer? Her expression didn’t change in the slightest. That one word, spoken with a face as firm as steel, gave off a cold impression, and yet for some reason, it still carried a tone that tugged at the heart. Her voice, her restrained intonation—all of it radiated her unique elegance.

The girls then started chatting with her like close friends. Meanwhile, the boys could only watch from afar, holding back with a hint of awkwardness. The classroom gradually regained its noise, but the center of attention remained on that girl.

“Kagura-san really is beautiful. If she looked at me with that face, I wouldn’t even be able to say a word.”

“Seriously, her beauty is on a level above a goddess.”

The boys whispered among themselves, occasionally sneaking glances at Rio. Even though her presence had already become part of their daily life, she still seemed extraordinary. Yet Rio paid no attention to any of those stares.

She only responded to the other girls’ words when necessary, then calmly walked toward her seat at the very back near the window. Sitting down, she took a thick book from her bag and opened it. Even that simple motion looked elegant—something that was difficult to put into words.

“Hey, is there anyone brave enough to talk to her?”

“Impossible. That’s a danger zone—instant death if you go there.”

“I wonder what she’s reading…”

“Maybe some academic book? I heard she got perfect scores on all her tests yesterday.”

“That’s crazy, seriously. And on top of that, I heard she’s amazing at sports too.”

“God didn’t just give her two blessings, but five or six all at once.”

While the students were still drowning in admiration, another figure appeared from the same door Rio had entered through earlier.

──The door opened again. But this time, the atmosphere of the class remained exactly the same, unchanged.

Messy hair with strands going in every direction. The only thing noticeable about him was that he was slightly taller than average, but even that was ordinary. A silhouette so plain that, even if he passed you on the street, no one would give him a second glance.

His face didn’t have any defining features either, aside from perhaps giving the impression of someone who looked 'kind.' Compared to Rio, that boy really did look completely unremarkable.

“Kagura-chan, you’re super pretty today too!”

“No wonder the ace senior from the soccer club fell for her… though they say she ended up rejecting him.”

“Eh!? But that senior was really handsome, wasn’t he!?”

The conversation still revolved around Rio. It was simply because of her overwhelming charm—but at the same time, it also proved just how unnoticed the boy who had just walked in really was.

“The standards are way too high… Oh, morning, Sumito.”

After passing a few people, finally, one of his close friends greeted him.

“Ou… morning.”

He replied while holding back a yawn, as if trying to suppress it. That laid-back attitude might’ve been something to admire, but his mind seemed to be somewhere else entirely.

“Morning, Kagura.”

The boy—Sumito—stood next to Rio. Just a moment ago, his presence had seemed paper-thin, but now, he suddenly drew the gaze of the entire class. Yet, the girl beside him gave no reply.

Silence lingered for a while, until finally she reacted, though without even glancing away from the book in her hands:

“…Morning.”

Not even a glance, just that one word slipping out. The classmates’ attention, which had briefly shifted to Sumito, immediately returned to her, their thoughts lining up in unison: “Yeah, we knew it.”

“Yonemine sure is bold, huh? Talking to Kagura like that.”

“Well, he’s kind of a laid-back guy.”

“Even so, just making Kagura say four letters—‘good morning’—is already like a heroic achievement. That deserves praise.”

Though such words were spoken among the classmates, Sumito showed no signs of being bothered. He quietly sat down in the seat next to hers. Still, a faint shadow lingered on his face.

(Really… you guys are lucky. You can stay blissfully unaware of the things no one actually wants to know.)

Sumito glanced sideways at the girl beside him, who was deeply absorbed in the book in front of her.

Indeed, she was truly worthy of being called a 'flower on the cliff'—beautiful, yet forever out of reach.

But that impression was far from the truth for him.

Because he knew.

"…Haa, this is way too erotic."

A whisper slipped out.

Cold, untouchable, noble, pure… all of those impressions shattered in an instant, broken apart by a voice that should never have come from her lips—a voice dyed in shades of pink.

"Even though my body is being violated and toyed with by so many people, I can’t resist… this feels so good. The descriptions are so detailed, the author must be experienced… maybe they make love every day, with a body drenched in sweat….?"

Her voice grew hotter, every word spilling out tinged with pink desire.

The thick hardcover book, which everyone assumed was a complex piece of literature or some academic text, was in fact clearly a book like that.

Not even the ordinary kind, but something on an advanced level.

(Seriously… first thing in the morning, why the hell is she reading something like this…)

Sumito held his head in his hands.

After all, right beside him sat a beautiful, icy girl, casually spouting obscene words as naturally as breathing. But not a single person in that classroom could feel Sumito’s suffering, and of course, no one could even imagine that the lofty, untouchable flower was secretly hiding such an enormous gap within herself. And Rio herself… never even considered that someone could hear the secret desires inside her.

Because the noisy voice echoing through the air could only be heard by Sumito alone—thanks to the telepathic ability he possessed.

(If they knew the beautiful, aloof girl was secretly reading an erotic novel this early in the morning… I wonder how they’d react.)

A mischievous thought flickered through his mind, but Sumito quickly pressed a hand to his temple, trying to chase away the pink images that seeped in.

"Besides, there are dozens of guys in this class… this scene could even be reenacted right here—?"

(God, please, just shut up for a second…)

And yet, no matter how much he resisted, the flood of lewd thoughts from the cold beauty beside him refused to stop.

Yeah… this is the story of a telepath’s suffering.
